CA Anti-Virus Plus Anti-Spyware 2011 is solid antivirus software from a respected manufacturer. CA specializes in business and enterprise security solutions, and their consumer-level desktop solutions are pretty good too. We loved the sleek user interface, but unfortunately, CA AntiVirus Plus is missing quite a few of the advanced features we found in the best antivirus software. In their defense, CA has added some nice new features like rootkit detection and USB scanning, but these features have been standard fare for the best antivirus products for a couple of years now. Overall, CA’s level of security is fine, but the antivirus software is still missing some nice features and just doesn’t stand out in the competitive field of antivirus software.

While Panda Antivirus Pro may not be the best antivirus software, it is certainly very good. The software includes several advanced features and tools to keep your PC safe, and Panda is easy to use. Panda Antivirus Pro 2011 has some compelling features that make this solution definitely worth considering.
The new edition is still missing a few advanced features that we’ve seen elsewhere, but has added several new capabilities. This year introduces a gaming mode, home network manager, virtual keyboard and secure virtual browser. Overall, Panda has a trusted solution that while not the best, is more than sufficient.

The antivirus software is designed to detect and defend against viruses, spyware, rootkits, Trojans, bot networks, hackers, keyloggers, and all sorts of other online security threats.
Ad-Aware Pro is a good product with a nice feature set. The antivirus software is powerful enough and effective enough to protect your computer from all the threats that can terrorize your PC. Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware isn’t the best antivirus software, but in the competitive security software market, it’s very good.

There are so many computer security programs available, and TrustPort Antivirus is among the best antivirus software programs around. TrustPort’s roots are in business security, so their consumer level products are rock solid. The core strength of TrustPort Antivirus is the integrated use of two distinct antivirus scanning engines. And not just any two scanning engines, but two of the strongest antivirus engines in the industry from BitDefender and AVG.
TrustPort Antivirus 2011 is unquestionably one of the most effective antivirus software applications available. By combining two strong scanning engines and advanced detection technology, TrustPort is very good at detecting both existing and new threats, and it has the stats to prove it. In one of the most recent Virus Bulletin reports, TrustPort earned remarkably high scores for both reactive and proactive detection, outperforming almost all of the competition in both categories.
However, while the antivirus scanning engines are a crucial component, there is more to antivirus software than just the base-level protection. TrustPort Antivirus has a number of advanced features and is very secure, but is missing some of the features that the best antivirus software applications have. While TrustPort Antivirus is great, it doesn’t quite meet the high standards set by the best antivirus products.

Their SiteAdvisor toolbar continues to provide proactive protection while you search online. The new Idle Timer brings improved performance and efficiency. Overall, McAfee AntiVirus Plus 2011 is solid but can’t compete with some of the more advanced antivirus products.
